NERO is AgileX Robotics' lightweight seven-axis robotic arm for embodied AI, humanoid upper-body and manipulation research. Its redundant 7-DoF layout mimics a human arm, giving more natural motion and better obstacle avoidance than a six-axis arm. The arm weighs 4.8 kg, carries 3 kg, has a 580 mm working radius and repeats to ±0.1 mm, while drawing under 60 W in typical use. It can be mounted on a table, sideways or upside down, has built-in collision protection and communicates over CAN, TCP and HTTP. Control modes include drag-to-teach, offline trajectories and API programming, with a Python SDK and ROS1 and ROS2 support. It also fits AgileX mobile chassis.
