PiPER is AgileX Robotics' lightweight six-axis robotic arm for research labs, teaching and embodied AI data collection, also used as the arm in several AgileX mobile manipulation kits. It has an aluminium alloy frame with a plastic shell and an integrated controller, weighs 4.2 kg, carries 1.5 kg and has a 626 mm working radius with ±0.1 mm repeatability. It runs on 24 V DC and works from -20 to 50 °C. PiPER-X is a variant with a reworked spherical wrist (J4 and J5 at ±90°), a 669 mm reach and a 4.5 kg body. Both are controlled through a Python or C++ SDK over CAN with ROS1 and ROS2 support.
