Atom D is Dobot's upper-body humanoid for collecting large manipulation datasets for embodied-AI and robot-learning work. It uses the torso, head and arms of the Atom humanoid on a stand instead of legs, with two 7-DoF arms and a 2-DoF head. End effectors are configurable, including dexterous hands, grippers and wrist cameras. A 60 fps Full HD binocular camera, designed to limit motion sickness during VR and MR teleoperation, works with an Intel RealSense D455 depth camera with a 6 m range, and recorded data leaves the robot over Ethernet for external processing.
