AI Kit 2023 is Elephant Robotics' 2D machine-vision education kit for its desktop robot arms, used to teach vision-guided positioning, picking and automatic sorting. A 2-megapixel USB camera with a 110-degree distortion-free lens looks down on a 500 x 400 mm workstation with sorting bins, and the kit includes a suction pump, coloured wooden blocks and image cards. Five built-in recognition methods cover colour, shape, QR-code markers, feature points and YOLOv5, recognising targets in about 300 ms (600 ms for feature points) with 3 mm accuracy. Control is through open-source Python code and a visual interface. It supports the myCobot 280, mechArm 270 and myPalletizer 260 in M5Stack and Raspberry Pi versions; the robot arm is not part of the kit.
