The Galileo EX-1 is an explosion-proof industrial quadruped robot from Galileo (Tianjin) Technology for inspection in hazardous areas such as refineries, chemical plants and gas facilities. It carries an Ex IIB T4 Gb explosion-proof rating and IP66 protection, measures 1,300 x 650 x 790 mm and weighs 120 kg with its battery. Its 12-DoF legs climb 30-degree slopes and 25 cm steps while carrying a 30 kg walking load. A 48 V, 2,160 Wh battery gives about two hours of operation, and a LiDAR plus two depth cameras handle perception, with Ethernet and optional 4G for links.
