GMH18 is a five-finger tactile dexterous hand from PaXini Tech designed for heavier manipulation than its four-finger DexH hands. It has 18 degrees of freedom, 11 active and 7 passive, with 5 in the thumb, driven by coreless motors through multi-link transmissions. More than a thousand ITPU tactile sensing units cover the fingernails, fingertips, finger pads and palm, and PaXini rates the hand for a 20 kg load. RGB, RGB-D or infrared cameras can be added to the palm or back of the hand, and it supports USB, EtherCAT, Ethernet, Modbus and CAN-FD, with built-in force-control algorithms and 24 to 48 V DC or USB PD 3.1 power.
