The Z1 Motor is the joint actuator used in Unitree's Z1 six-axis robotic arm, sold separately as a replacement part. It pairs the motor with a harmonic reducer (reduction ratio above 60:1) and an industrial cross-roller bearing, giving about 6 arcminutes of backlash and 33 N·m maximum torque in a 405 g body 65 mm in diameter and 52 mm long. It runs on 24 V, communicates over RS-485 with 1 kHz control, uses a 15-bit encoder and accepts torque, angle, velocity, stiffness and damping commands with about 0.2 N·m force-control accuracy.
